Monitoring Employees on Network

An e-mail can produce good forms of advertising.  E-mail produces good documentation as a good source for evidence in lawsuits.  Employees could correspond via e-mail in a way that saves time from walking long distances and using the United States Postal Service and other carriers that are expensive.  E-mails are safe since it goes to one recipient unless that one recipient chooses to send it out to his or her friends.  Managers have to be concerned with the employees leaking company secrets causing a security issue.

The issue of employees using the e-mail and Internet for their free time and during working hours is proof that the employees need extra work.

The security of information is not as well protected by using text message or e-mail, especially on telephones.  However, this is a good source of communication with other businesses rather flying the employees to their destination and booking into hotels.

A good benefit for the company is advertising.  A company needs to advertise their products to expose their product to the market.  However, there are some drawbacks.  One of the drawbacks and has become an issue is spamming.  Another drawback is complicated names or words that you have to be careful that would bring up other items and not just the web page you are calling up.  There are many windows that can confuse people searching the website.

The use of the e-mail and Internet would be depending on how the company allows and how far the employee could use.  I think it depends on the employee.  Most employees need to use the E-mail and Internet as it would be a part of their job.  However, there are times that employees abuse e-mail or Internet access for their own use, which means that they are taking away company’s time.
