Benefits of Programming knowledge

Knowledge of programming benefits individuals working in almost any IT position because this will open the doors with more opportunities in this field of work in the various positions in the IT field.  The IT field is a very important field to be involved in right now because of the increase in demand for these jobs.  The more non programmer individuals working on simple programs, the better they will become.  This helps them encourage and builds up their self confidence.  They will also build up more knowledge.  The way I see it is that if you are employed outside of the programming field, it does not mean that you will need to program, or change work fields.  Programming years ago has come a long way to today's programming.  Years ago a programmer had to program manually, as today there are softwares that makes and helps the programmer, and also saves time.  Softwares are able to catch any errors in the program so that when the  error appears, the programmer could go back to fix the error much quicker.  Also in today's job markets, even though you are not specifically a programmer, it helps to find and keep jobs in today's tight employment market.  Employers will be pleased and impressed that even though that the individual does not need to use for that particular job, it looks good on the person's resume.
